went into this location yesterday morning to grab a few things for my toddler and I during the snow storm. It had already started to snow. I also had my baby with me. I checked out with a pleasant young man name Gavin. He was kind and well mannered. We noticed my EBT card kept declining, so I paid with my debit card. I received my receipt and noticed I still had available funds and it cover all, but one item. My total purchase was 33.68. I had 30.88 left on my EBT card. I walked over to the customer desk once I noticed this. I had conversation with Evan Stone. He patronized me for wanting to do a full refund to my debt card so I can make the payment with my ebt funds. He said it would take too long to all of that and he could not do it. I said, so you can’t refund my purchase to my debit card? He rolled his eyes and said yeah, but it’s going to be awhile, but I can do it but you’ll have to get back and line and wait. I said okay, that’ll work for me. He was agitated and passively aggressive. I walked over to the same cashier. He only had two people ahead of me with only a few items like me. It literally took Evan only a few minutes not even 5 to refund me my money on debit card. The cashier was so sweet. He said sorry a numerous of times and was so patient. Gavin took about 2 minutes to ring up my items to pay with my EBT card. I have tried to rationalize Evan’s behaviors because imagine he was flustered by the snowstorm. He may have had a rough day etc. However, I cannot excuse the facts that he was condescending, dismissive, and rude. He made me feel like what I was asking for was infeasible. He made me feel like I was incompetent of the process of a refund. And he made feel like uncomfortable, overwhelmed, frustrated to get the refund I needed. I have attached a picture of the items purchased. I only had two bags and 4 large bottles of waters. Less than 10 items that would have taken a few minutes to resolve my issue. I am extremely disappointed in customer service at this location and hope that it gets better.

Good store. Lots of choices. High quality but pricey. Had a nice young man who was very helpful at self checkout. Love that they have Starbucks and wifi (can check my shopping list). Appreciate their rewards program and gas rewards. Wish it was a bit more affordable.

I had a nice discussion with the manager today and after a bit of back and forth on pricing discrepancies, she admitted that customer complaints are rampant. Ingles as a corporation is easily, I'm my opinion, one of the dirtiest in the industry. Prices are higher than average and posted prices on the shelf often dont accurately portray check out prices. Ingles nickel and dimes customers regularly so please be careful while shopping. Class action incoming, shopper beware.

Mr. Evan Stone the store manager at this location is one of the most nicest person you ever won’t to meet.. I always seen him walking around an interacting with staff and helping out in Ever department he in. He show very good management qualities and his customer service is top notch. Thank You for every time I come you make me feel welcome and give me the reason I past other markets to come here…
